NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) -- A company that produces frozen foods for restaurants and retailers has announced plans to expand its southern Indiana operations and possibly add hundreds of jobs in the coming years.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said Tuesday that Kemper Foods International would spend more than $6.8 million for equipment and building improvements at its New Albany production center.
The privately held company founded last year plans to soon begin hiring additional production workers, supervisors and clerical staff. It expects to add more than 350 jobs by 2012.
Kemper Foods is to receive up to $1.1 million in state tax credits for its expansion.
