Anheuser-Busch Says It’s Still A Player In St. Louis

President and chief executive officer for the Anheuser-Busch InBev subsidiary says the heart of the U.S. brewer still resides in St. Louis where it will continue to play a major role.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Anheuser-Busch's new president and chief executive officer says the heart of the U.S. company still resides in St. Louis.

And David Peacock says the brewer will continue to play a major role in the community.

Peacock is the son of an Anheuser-Busch worker, grew up in the St. Louis suburbs and joined the company in 1992.

He now manages U.S. operations for the company, a subsidiary of the newly combined Anheuser-Busch InBev.

He said Thursday the company will continue to sponsor sports and play a role in the community.

Peacock also says consumers should realize that Anheuser-Busch products are still brewed in the U.S. and represent more than 11,000 U.S. jobs.
