TreeHouse Foods Unit Damaged By Fire

No injuries were reported after a fire at Bay Valley Foods, a division of powdered creamer and pickle maker TreeHouse Foods.

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa (AP) — Bay Valley Foods, a division of powdered creamer and pickle maker TreeHouse Foods Inc., on Sunday said a plant in Iowa was damaged by a fire on Friday.

The company said it plans to repair and reopen the plant, in New Hampton.

The fire occurred at 4 a.m. and none of the 61 staffers that work there were injured. The cause is being investigated.

The plant is one of three that Bay Valley Foods uses to process non-dairy powdered creamers and other dry powdered products.

TreeHouse foods doesn't believe the fire will hurt the company's financial results materially.
