WARRENVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Air-pollution control systems maker Fuel Tech Inc. said Friday that it has completed its purchase of niche companies Tackticks LLC and FlowTack LLC for $4 million in cash.
Tackticks makes products used in catalytic reduction devices that control nitrogen oxide emissions. FlowTack makes products used by power generators to control emissions.
The two Durham, N.C.-based companies have 11 employees combined and had revenue of $3 million in 2007.
Fuel Tech shares rose 1 cent to $17.73 in morning trading.
