Boeing Lands $42M Air Force Contract

Air Force said it has awarded Boeing a $42 million contract to work on radars for Saudi Arabia's air force.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Air Force said Thursday it has awarded Boeing Co. a $42 million contract to work on radars for Saudi Arabia's air force.

The contract is for radars that will be installed on five Royal Saudi Air Force AWACS jets, planes that are used to detect other aircraft while airborne. The program is part of the sale of U.S. military equipment to the Saudi Arabia.

Shares of Chicago-based Boeing fell 71 cents to close at $64.69 Thursday.
