GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) -- Sennebogen North America will open a 48,000 square foot parts distribution, training and technical support center in eastern Lincoln County.

The Gaston Gazette reported that the Lincoln Economic Development Association made the announcement on Thursday.

The association said the center represents capital investments of $5.1 million. Officials say Sennebogen expects to bring 25 new jobs to the facility within two years.

The 50-year-old family-owned company from Straubing, Germany manufactures specialized bulk material-handling equipment. They make purpose-built machines for handling scrap, logs, coal and other bulk materials.

Company officials could not be reached for comment.

County commissioners approved an incentive grant of $17,895.15 per year over a five year period to the German company.
