The manufacturing facility of a W. R. Grace & Co. joint venture, located in Dubai, has been awarded the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Award for 2006 from the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza).
The Grace joint venture was recognized for the company's contribution to the environmental well being of the area and to the quality of life at the business center.
It was one of 41 companies to be recognized for their efforts in the areas of corporate social responsibility and environment, health and safety.
Graham Moorfield, Business Manager of the facility in Dubai, commented, "We are all very proud to have won this award. It reflects the teamwork, effort and commitment to EHS issues that Grace has as a global company."
Jafza is a major business hub of the Middle East located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Jafza houses more than 4,000 businesses from over 100 countries.
Grace currently has over 60 employees in Dubai through the joint venture.
