Broyhill To Close North Carolina Plant

Case goods manufacturing plant in Lenoir expected to close in February 2007.

Broyhill Furniture Industries, a subsidiary of Missouri-based Furniture Brands International, said it wll close its case goods manufacturing facility in Lenoir, North Carolina.

The Lenoir plant is a 628,000-square-foot facility with 390 employees. It is expected to close in February 2007.

The company estimates that it will record a charge of $3 million, or 4 cents per share for the closure, with the majority of costs to be recorded during the first quarter next year.
