Eagle Roofing Investing $35 Million To Build New Tile Plant In Texas

New facility will help meet growing demand for tile roofing in Texas housing market.

Eagle Roofing Products, a division of Burlingame Industries, announced Tuesday that it plans to invest more than $35 million to build a new multi-line concrete tile manufacturing facility in Midlothian, Texas.

Construction on the 225,000-square-foot plant will begin in late 2007, with the first tile runs expected to be delivered in 2008. During its first year of operation, the facility will employ 200 workers.

According to Bob Burlingame, chairman and CEO of Burlingame Industries, the new plant will help Eagle to meet the increased demand for tile roofs in the burgeoning Texas housing market.

Recently, Eagle has completed production facilities in Phoenix, Ariz., and Stockton, Calif.; and is nearing completion on a manufacturing plant in central Florida.
