Alcoa Opens Plant In Bulgaria

Company announces its plant is fully operational.

Alcoa announced Tuesday that its 12,000 square meter plant in Bulgaria is now fully operational. The plant is part of the Alcoa Consumer Products business and it will produce household wrap products which include foil, film and disposal bags marketed under the Reynolds and Baco brand names. The products are sold in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The plant will employ about 200 people.

“This newest manufacturing center and Alcoa’s entry into its 44th country shows the extent that partnerships between business and community can help build a healthy, thriving, and safe work environment while adding significantly to the employment base,” said James Debney, Managing Director of Baco Consumer Products and Alcoa Packaging in Bulgaria.
