PepsiCo Selects Oregon For New $250 Million Manufacturing Facility

Pepsi will open a $250 million manufacturing and bottling distribution center in South Albany, Oregon.

PepsiCo said it will open a $250 million manufacturing and bottling distribution center in South Albany, Oregon.

The facility will create 500 family wage jobs for the area, with average salaries of more than $45,000 plus full health benefits for workers. 

The 1.8 million square foot production and container manufacturing facility will also seek LEEDS (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, a benchmark for high performance “green” buildings.
 
Groundbreaking for the new plant is set for spring 2007.
