DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- The president of a Washington, D.C.-based union that represents about 60,000 auto and other manufacturing workers says the union will move its headquarters to the Dayton area by the end of the year.
International Union of Electronic Workers president James Clark said Tuesday that the majority of the union's workers are located in Ohio or surrounding states. He says moving the headquarters will bring the staff closer to the workers and better serve them.
The IUE is a division of the Communications Workers of America, whose headquarters will remain in Washington.
