RSW BV (Duvien, The Netherlands) has developed the Smart Mixed Palletizing software, which features the Intelligent Palletizing Software (IPS) to quickly calculate the optimum stacking patterns in any medium. The software works with the MLS Spider palletizing machine to determine the sequence in which crates and boxes should be stacked. The input of the IPS consists of the size and weight of the boxes, and if all boxes and crates are ready for despatch, IPS gets to work. The IPS calculates the optimum stacking pattern on the basis of the order and route planning of distribution. This allows the software to take various parameters into account on how the goods are to be delivered.
