SKF (San Diego, CA) offers its Multilog On-Line System WMx, which is a battery-powered, eight-channel monitoring device that communicates acceleration, displacement, temperature, and bearing condition data using industry standard 802.11b/g wireless networking. The WMx automatically uploads data for viewing, alarm evaluation, and analysis to the SKF @ptitude software. The WMx requires no wires, which leads to reduced installation costs. The device also carries an ATEX Zone 2 certification, allowing it to be located in hazardous areas.
