HAWKER (Ooltewah, TN) has introduced the LIFEPLUS TC3-W high-frequency smart charger, equipped with wireless capabilities for real-time data collection and monitoring. The TC3 offers four different charge profile options:
- Ionic—employing periodic current pulses which both identify the battery’s capacity and state of charge,this profile provides the optimal recharge with minimal heating.
- Gel—this profile is designed for industry-standard batteries.
- VRLA—the profile is designed for the HAWKER ENVIROLINK valve-regulated lead acid battery.
- Opportunity—when the output of the IONIC profile is not enough, this profile may be required. This profile employs a start rate of 25 percent of battery capacity or the maximum output capacity of the charger for faster return.
