PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) -- Technology products and services company Hewlett-Packard Co. said Tuesday that it has named Bill Veghte as chief strategy officer.

Veghte joined HP in 2010. Before that, he spent two decades at Microsoft Corp., where he most recently managed the company's Windows business, HP said.
