ERP solutions have evolved over the years to include not only back office accounting and support functions, but also the front office processes that manage customer relationships. As more and more functional areas of the enterprise jump on the ERP bandwagon, there is risk in losing focus on the manufacturing processes, where the real work in producing sale-able product gets done.
