Possible $70M PPE Plant Would Produce 300 Jobs

Before the deal is done, the town needs to approve $1 million in incentives.

A proposed personal protective equipment (PPE) plant could be coming to Georgia.

According to WMAZ-TV, the $70 million plant would bring some 300 jobs to Sandersville, Georgia.

The city council is considering a proposal from Redstone Investments Group, on behalf of Shield Technology, which hopes to build a 200,000-square-foot facility.

Before the deal is done, the council needs to approve about $1 million in incentives.

The county is also considering property tax breaks for the plant over the first 15 years.

If everything goes according to plan, the factory could be making disposable gloves and other PPE as soon as 2023.
