Are you at risk for toasted skin syndrome? Despite its anecdotal name, toasted skin syndrome is a heat rash caused by long-term exposure to heat from laptop computers. Dermatologists say the condition is rare, but a handful of cases are discovered by doctors every year. Laptop users should be advised that, as computer get faster and more powerful, they give off more heat.
