Private-sector space transport company SpaceX, which is owned by Tesla founder Elon Musk, successfully launched its Falcon 9 test rocket into Earth's orbit and recovered it successfully. The successful test marked the first time such an accomplishment has been done by a non-government entity. Furthermore, it brightens the future for NASA, who will someday hire companies like SpaceX to shuttle materials and astronauts from Earth to the International Space Station.
