The Microsoft Xbox Kinect has proven to be more than just a popular video game device. In fact, Bay Area robotics startup Willow Garage has started experimenting with Xbox Kinects on some of its robots. As Willow Garage CEO Steve Cousins points out, a fledgling industry (like robotics) often borrows and incorporates the latest technology from other industries.
