At Salemtown Board Company in Nashville, Tenn., 27-year-old Will Anderson can turn a slab of middle Tennessee oak into a world-class sidewalk cruiser. Anderson started the company two years ago as a way to teach neighborhood kids about discipline and dedication. It's not so much about shaping boards, he tells Tracy Smith, as about shaping lives.
