At a nautical trade fair in Hamburg, the shipping research firm DNV GL revealed a new electric vessel that could carry cargo without a crew. The ship travels at around 6 Knots and is made for short sea voyages where it can carry up to 100 standard TEU containers. According to DNV GL, the ReVolt could be extremely cost effective for moving goods compared to current methods.
