A new study from Boston's Children's Hospital suggests that foods with highly processed carbohydrates — foods like cookies, cakes and chips — can trigger strong cravings that can drive consumers to overeat. Researchers also noticed changes in the brain among subjects eating these foods, suggesting a response very similar to addiction.
