With the release of its new Energy Monitoring software module, Lighthouse Systems aims to help manufacturers monitor all their energy consumption, correlate the energy consumed to relevant production assets or output and to upload that data to relevant cost entries in the company’s ERP system. The module can monitor all energy resources used on the plant floor, including electricity, gas, compressed air and water, and break down those numbers by each production line, or even various time periods (day, month or year).
Lighthouse Systems says that with the monitoring in place, companies can better manage peak loads and address energy waste, in addition to better leveraging production assets. The support of sustainability efforts becomes easier, as companies can better benchmark various lines or machines down to the most granular levels.
The Energy Monitoring solution can come either as a standalone solution, or as part of a wider Shopfloor-Online MES package. When used together, manufacturers can get even more granularity in their energy-related data, including the energy costs for individual products or parts.
