EMS Technologies (Atlanta, GA) division EMS Global Resource Management recently announced Datamax O’Neil, a global provider of receipt and label printing solutions, has tested and certified the LXE Marathon field computer for use in the field with DatamaxO’Neil’s extensive line of rugged portable printers. In communication certification tests, the Marathon Field Computer connected wirelessly via Bluetooth and/or 802.11g to Datamax-O’Neil’s full family of receipt printers. These printers can be carried by hand or attached to a worker’s belt. The combined LXE/Datamax-O’Neil hardware offering also offers credit card processing through a magnetic stripe reader, 1D and 2D barcode scanning and printing, and signature capture.
