The new AC drives adjust motor speed to the required flow of air or fluids, and are designed to reduce energy costs by 50 percent.

The new AC drives adjust motor speed to the required flow of air or fluids, and are designed to reduce energy costs by 50 percent. Schneider Electric’s Altivar 212 also includes a full complement of integrated building automation networks. Embedded reduced harmonic technology reduces the wire size and the size of upstream overcurrent protection devices and operates 10 percent more efficient than typical AC drives, according to the company.
