Computype (Chicago, IL) recently announced the launch of its paint patch label, a clear laminate applied directly over a label to cover and protect barcodes or other tracking identification information during messy paint applications. The paint “patch” is designed to be easily removed by a glove-handed operator by peeling off the laminate, leaving the label and paint job perfectly intact.
Using the paint patch involves four steps:
- Apply the label to its intended surface
- Paint the surface, including the label
- Peel off the temporary over-laminate
- Scan the barcode or other tracking identification code
