TURCK (Minneapolis, MN) released a new AS-interface speed monitor for safety speeds and stop conditions on as many as two axes. The product may be programmed using a configuration push-button, or by using AS-i control tools. When the speed falls below the designated threshold, the device sends a signal to AS-i. The monitor also employs an integrated chip card to record all programmed parameters. With this feature, the device does not require reprogramming to regain access to the machine after a controlled stop.
