Stay Away From The Ledge

Garlock Safety Systems (Plymouth, MN) has developed the LedgeGuard mezzanine safety gate system, which has two gates, one of which is always closed. The inside gate is closed when pallets are being handled by a forklift, prevented personnel from falling. When raised personnel open the inside gate to access the pallet, the opposite gate closes.

This automatic opening-closing mechanism prevents personnel from forgetting to close a certain gate when they are at risk of falling. The LedgeGuard protects plant workers without slowing them door. The opened height is also only 82”, well under the height of most low ceilings.
