Kadant Web Systems Inc. (Auburn, MA) has expanded its current doctor blade product line to include the ProEdge system for flexographic printing and offset coating applications. The blades are available in seven wear-resistant materials and feature application-specific bevels and profiles for precise cleaning and metering performance. The flexographic and offset printing system can be used in a variety of industrial processing applications including corrugating, converting, envelope, newspaper, and flexible packaging. The standard bevel ranges from 22 to 45 degrees, allowing for a balance between high metering quality and doctor blade performance life.
