A Fluid Pump That's A Bit Eccentric

The EnvironGear Sealless Gear Pumps, made by PeopleFlo, are now avilable through Springer Pumps (Telford, PA). The pumps are designed to handle a wide range of fluids, with features like high-strength spindlers, one fluid chamber, and an internally adjustable integral relief valve.

An eccentric spindle supports the rotor and idler gears on both sides and in the middle. The spindles are manufactured from hard materials—4140 carbon steel or 17-4 PH stainless steel—and with large diameters. Additional features include:

  • Sealed bearings that operate under light radial and axial load, with skid pads to protect the canister if bearings fail.
  • A statically-sealed casing with only two industry standard O-rings, assembled with grade 8 bolts.
  • A patented rotor magnet assembly that allows for quick disassembly and magnet replacement.
  • A sealless design that is capable of pumping a range of liquid viscosities from solvents to 50,000 cps resins.
