Warner Electric (Rockford, IL) introduces a new heavy duty Gen2 electromagnetic packaged clutch/brake UniModule for use in conveyor applications. The Gen2 modules feature two significant design modifications: first, larger bearings provide a dynamic load capability increase of 47 percent. In addition, a redesigned armature and spline hub increases the spline length by 83 percent, resulting in a 44 percent decrease in spline compressive stress. Two fully assembled, pre-burnished, UniModules are available for 143/145TC NEMA frames, up to 2HP.
