The Compact Spiral hose from Parker Hannifin Corporation (Wickliffe, OH) offers 5,000 and 6,000 psi performance in a compact design. The hoses are available in a variety of sizes. The inner tube within the hoses allows for ½ the bend radius and a 30 percent smaller O.D. than SAE spiral hose. It also requires 1/3 less effort to bend. Bends can also begin sooner, reducing the amount of hose needed by 20-55 percent. The Spiral hoses have also been tested to 2,000,000 impulse cycles, which is two times the ISO 18752-DC standard, leading to a longer service life where many repeat cycled occur in a short timeframe, such as injection molding machines.
