The Speedy Board incorporates fork lift cut-outs to the leading edge of the board that allow the fork lift operator to quickly and safely “scoop” the board and move it into place, and retrieve it for storage. Because the length of a steel dock board varies, dock personnel must pay attention to the appropriate length of fork lift truck tines for board placement and retrieval. To ensure stability of the Speedy Board or a dock board with the Speedy Board option, Bluff Manufacturing recommends that at least 65 percent of the dock board rests on the fork lift tines.
