Metal-Mount and Interference-Free

Balluff (Florence, KY) has developed a new direct metal-mount RFID system, which allows the tag to be mounted directly on any alloy or metal surface without the typical interference. This RFID system uses non-contract, ISO 15693 compliant passive data carrier technology.

Balluff (Florence, KY) has developed a new direct metal-mount RFID system, which allows the tag to be mounted directly on any alloy or metal surface without the typical interference. This RFID system uses non-contract, ISO 15693 compliant passive data carrier technology. Other features include:

  • A range of 52 mm to 65 mm regardless of the alloy content of the metal.
  • An operational temperature range from -25C to 130° C for up to 1,000 hours of continuous, idle exposure.
  • The ability to use DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, among others, using a remote processor.
  • A maintenance-free operation, as the tags are passive and battery-free.
