Inverters Get More Torque

Hitachi America, Ltd. (Tarrytown, NY) has announced the WJ200 series of inverters, which are sensorless vector (SLV) drives capable of 200 percent or greater torque across the speed range. According to the company, speed regulation at low speed has been dramatically improved, and fluctuation is half that of previous models.

Hitachi America, Ltd. (Tarrytown, NY) has announced the WJ200 series of inverters, which are sensorless vector (SLV) drives capable of 200 percent or greater torque across the speed range. According to the company, speed regulation at low speed has been dramatically improved, and fluctuation is half that of previous models. Additional features include:

  • A PLC-like functionality by means of the integrated Easy Sequence (EzSQ) programming function.
  • An integrated pulse input, which allows for simple position control applications.
  • Peer-to-peer communications that allow multiple WJ200s to share data, with one designated as the “administrator.”
