Safer Safety Circuits

Elobau Sensor Technology Inc. (Lake Bluff, IL) has developed a line of interlock switches for safety applications by monitoring and interrupting the safety circuit, depending on the position of the machine guard. The locking solenoid holds the guard closed until a stored energy hazard has dissipated.

To meet current standards, safety interlock components cannot be bypassed. Additional features include:

  • Solenoid locking, a narrow metal body housing and metal actuating head, a rotatable actuator head with top and side entry, and hinged actuators.
  • A construction of die-cast aluminum with IP67 environmental protection.
  • An operating temperature range of -20 to 55°C.
