Schneider Electric (Palatine, IL) has announced the new OsiSense XUBT1, a photo-electric sensor specifically designed for machine manufacturers in the packaging and bottling industries. The sensor is adaptable, enabling manufacturers to detect transparent materials such as PET bottles, translucent wrapping film, and colored glass. It operates in conjunction with a reflector, and is easily mounted on the production line using a bracket, while the simple-to-use “teach mode” optimizes the detection parameters. The XUBT1 has a sensing distance of 0.8m with reflector XUZ, and is easy to install with a M12 connection or standard cable.
