Hitachi America, Ltd. (Tarrytown, NY) has announced that it has expanded its product line of Oil-Free Rotary Screw Air Compressors to include units in the size range 132-240kW. The expansion also includes life cycle cost reductions, space conservation, and increased efficiency, according to the company. Additional benefits include:
- An innovative “U-Structure” space-saving design.
- Reduced life cycle costs via an elimination of belts and couplings, plus a patented “Power Save” function to reduce energy consumption and to protect the compressor from short-cycling.
- A Hi-Precooler, which provides efficient cooling and increased longevity for coolers.
- An Oil Mist Remover to prevent oil mists from venting into the atmosphere.
