Glacier Computer (New Milford, CT) has announced the release of the Everest S9000 stainless steel rugged computer terminal. According to the company, the S9000 was designed for customers who need an IP 65 and NEMA 4-approved, sealed unit to meet hygienic standards in food processing, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. It’s also suitable for conditions that require a water-resistant terminal, such as washdown areas. Specifications of the computer include:
- An Intel Atom N270, 1.6 GHz processor.
- Internal 802.11 a/b/g/n/ wireless connectivity with dual internal antennas.
- A 12” or 15” display.
- The ability to run either Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems.
