Itasca, IL — The Campbell Institute at the National Safety Council announces four new member organizations dedicated to world class environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices. ERM, FirstGroup America, San Diego Gas & Electric and United Airlines have all joined the Institute — the global center for EHS excellence.

“Learning from outstanding organizations that value EHS is essential to improving workplace safety and expanding the reach of the Campbell Institute,” said John Dony, director of the Campbell Institute and director of environmental, health, safety and sustainability at the National Safety Council. “We are proud to welcome these new Campbell Institute members that each have unique perspectives and best practices to advance the future of EHS as we know it.”

The Campbell Institute is built on the belief that a focus on environmental, health and safety management is necessary for business success. The Institute brings together top performing EHS organizations from around the globe and various industries to share best practices and lessons learned among a broader audience. The Institute believes each of its members is individually strong, but that collectively they can make a stronger impact.

As a member of the Institute, these organizations confirm their commitment to EHS. Vetted by the Institute in a rigorous process, members understand the value of protecting their people and preserving their communities and the environment. Their mission is to inspire other organizations to achieve and sustain EHS excellence.
