By combining the IoT, BIG Data, and Automated Analytics in a simple to use technological platform ShelfAware allows OEMs of any size, from any industry, located anywhere in the world to leverage their purchased inventory. ShelfAware is easily installed in just one day, requiring very little integration to the OEM’s IT systems. The daily processes required by the OEM to run ShelfAware are minimal by design. Factory line workers simply walk in, pick what they need, swipe it over the check-out station and go back to work; hence the slogan “Pick, Swipe, GO!”.

The fundamental function of ShelfAware, capturing BIG Data points for all purchased inventory, allows for new features using this data to be easily added like the ShelfAware App, installed on the OEM’s factory work terminals and PCs. With this new app the OEM gains full supply chain visibility to any ShelfAware inventory item. The app allows users to not only see what is on their shelf, but also what quantity is on the supplier’s shelf. This unprecedented supply chain visibility takes the guess work out of OEM’s Sales and Operations Planning (SOP). The data collected at the item level by ShelfAware is a key metric for every aspect of an OEM’s SOP activities including sales and marketing, production planning, operations, purchasing, and finance.
