The developers of codeREADr, the commercial barcode scanning and data collection app for iOS and Android devices, has launched a new service option dubbed Direct Scan to URL (DSU) designed for clients with data privacy and regulatory mandates. With this service, each barcode scanned, along with any other collected data, is posted from the app directly to the client's server where it is processed and the corresponding result sent back to the app in real-time. Applications include locating employees and contractors and tracking deliveries and assets in real-time.
