The Flexis™ Air for Coffee pre-oiled, one-way valve speeds processing throughput by up to 30%. Unlike injection molded button valves, this product is flexible and conforms to a package's contours. Brand owners can place the valve anywhere on a package, expanding billboard space and increasing design options. The unit also eliminates concerns over "scarring," caused by heat sealing a hard button valve to display-quality packaging, and prevents "bricking" to deliver a consistent on-shelf appearance. In operation, the product thoroughly degasses flexible or rigid containers of ground or whole bean coffee to maintain freshness after packaging. Units are pre-oiled with a precise amount of food-grade silicone oil at the necessary valve location to ensure protection against oxygen ingress. The product employs approximately 90% less plastic than injection molded plastic units. Graphics and printing in one color are available options.
