Food Dehydrators/Dryers

These units feature indirect fired gas furnace technology that allows for drying between 80°and 220°F. The indirect fired gas furnace dryers are different from traditional direct fired furnace dryers in that these are designed specifically to ensure that the dryer’s heat source, that is the furnace flame and the accompanying combustion pollutants, do not come in direct contact with the air used for drying product.

Nyle Systems LLC has launched a new line of Food Dehydrators/Dryers.

Indirect fired furnaces heat the air by keeping the flame inside specially designed circular tubing and guiding the air along the outside of these tubes, functioning as a heat exchanger, to heat air within the drying chamber to the desired temperature. These units are beneficial in areas where natural gas or propane are the most economical fuel source available to businesses. Also, these units are an excellent drying solution where applications require drying temperatures above 160°F.

Indirect Fired Gas Furnace drying technology allows users to achieve high temperature drying while also being assured that their product does not come in direct contact with any combustion pollutants. The line is currently comprised of 2 models; FD-G600 and FD-G1000. These new units have a speed rack loading capacity of 15–30 racks and drying chambers that can be expanded, to increase drying capacity, at any time. Each has an insulated drying chamber, an indirect fired gas furnace (natural gas or propane) as well as a control system that incorporates a touch screen HMI that can be remotely controlled through a smart phone.

This line of dehydrators/ dryers is designed to operate with a broad temperature range, 80°F-220°F (26°– 104°C.)  This broad range of drying allows them to be an ideal solution for several food segments, including, but not limited to: fruits (e.g. apples, blueberries, pineapple), vegetables (e.g. kale, tomatoes, onions), meat (e.g. beef, chicken, jerky), mushrooms (all types) and fish (all types), as well as nuts, herbs and spices.
