Fullerton, CA – Now available on Laboratory-Equipment.com is the C 1 Calorimeter, manufactured by IKA. Measure your liquid or solid samples’ combustion heat with this automated static jacket oxygen bomb calorimeter. The compact steel combustion chamber is lightweight and easily rotates into place. An outer crucible encapsulates the insulated chamber to create the ideal pressurized environment.
The C 1 can withstand decomposition temperatures of up to 1,800F (1,000C), with pressure up to 2,900 psi. Automated process steps include oxygen filling, water filling, flushing and venting. Ignition, using an ignition wire and cotton thread, is also automated, with the system recording the resulting heat energy BTU measurement. Temperature readings use the established correction calculation of traditional isoperibol calorimeters.
Interface with a PC, using a USB, reports your outcome for future recall and analysis. Interface with a printer gives you immediate documentation. The C 1 Calorimeter has the smallest footprint of any static jacket calorimeter on the market.
