The LevelSure is an electronic wireless gaging device consisting of an electronic probe that travels with a rail car. When the probe is activated, it continuously senses product temperature and level and then recalculates the maximum load level based on product-specific gravity and temperature. The LevelSure communicates by sending a wireless signal through a transmitter that is attached on top of the probe. This signal is then sent to a monitor where the level is calculated and displayed. The LevelSure has received approval for a required two-year Association of American Railroads service trial.
