Bird Precision offers a unique series of laser-drilled, wire-lapped Ruby and Sapphire orifices packaged in a wide variety of stainless, brass and plastic fittings, connectors and inserts. The Sapphire and Ruby compositions offer extreme resistance to chemicals, wear and heat and, according to the company, could be considered chemically inert, as they have five times the abrasion resistance of carbide and a melting point of 2,000 degrees C. They’re positioned as a way to insure that flow-calibrated settings will not change.
