Low-Profile Unloading Arm

OPW Engineered Systems' low-profile unloading arm is designed for railcar bottom-unloading applications.

OPW Engineered Systems will exhibit in Booth 233 at the International Liquid Terminal Association’s 30th Annual International Operating Conference & Trade Show, to be held from May 24-26 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. The company will be introducing a new low-profile unloading arm has been designed and created especially for railcar bottom-unloading applications. The design of the low-profile unloading arm eliminates the need of a hose to complete the bottom-unloading process, drastically improving efficiency and ease-of-use for operators. Other features include:

  • A fixed hinge and swivel joint that allows it to be slid under and hooked to railcar tanks that have a bottom clearance as low as 22 inches.
  • A dry disconnect that eliminates product leakage or dripping, improving operator safety.
  • No need for a hose from the unloading process, meaning that bulky hoses no longer have to be lugged around during loading, or rolled up and stored away when not in use.
